Media Instruction

In this article, I would like to report my interview to a teacher in a school about instructional media that she used to teach her students. She teaches the junior students at Oemar Diyan Islamic Boarding School in the second grade.
In the teaching learning process, the teacher teaches the students about reading subject, mostly about narrative stories. They are provided the course book by the school. Usually the media that she used to instruction her students is the course book, because the material inside is interesting for the students. Besides, the video is also used, but not often. She used video to make the students happier in learning process, because as I know that in the boarding school wacthing any video or something like that is very rarely. So by giving them the video can take their attention to study. The teacher also used the other media such as game, song, and paper adhered on the wall.
The teacher uses course book as a main media for students. Usually she provides some vocabularies based on the topic that will discuss on that day. Then she asks the students to read repeatedly the course book. After students read and understand the material in the book, the teacher divides the students into several group and each group will be given the worksheet paper that include some questions. The questions that made by teacher are taken from the course book, so  students have to answer the questions based on that book that they have already studied. Each of group will send one delegate to read the question and the other member will find the answer in the reading book. After the questions have already answered all by the students, so they submit it to the teacher. All of the material that the teacher uses to teach are taken from the course book.
To support the teaching learning process, the teacher uses video as a supporting media. The video that given by teacher is a English language video. The students just watch that video till the end without any requirements. By watching English video, students are expected to add new vocabularies and increase their listening skill.
The book that used by teacher as main media in teaching learning process. It contains of many narrative story, especially folk tales that give the moral message in every tale.

Instructional Material Design

Instructional Material Design 1.       Introduction Learning a language requires meaningful learning experiences facilitated by opportunities to interact with and produce language material that involve communication, whether these opportunities occur in a formal learning envoronment or not, exposure to a language forms an integral part of the acquisition process. Therefore material is very important in teaching learning process. It provides the content of the lesson, the balance of skill taught and the language practice of the students. Material can support the teacher in teaching and students in learning. Mini Research

The Relation of Teachers’ Role in Creating Learning Environment and The Students’ Motivation in Learning (A survey at 5 th   Semester Students of English Deparment of UIN Ar-Raniry) A.     Background In the relation to the learning spirit of students, enthusiasm in learning is important in the teaching learning process, because learning with the passion will encourage students to learn better than learning without passion. A proliferation of research from Eschenmann (1991) and other scholars suggests that if teachers take the time to build relationships they can motivate their students to learn. Further research (Whitaker, 2004) also suggests that teachers need to have a strong belief that building relationships are important to the motivation process . This paper wants to answer the question “is the role of teacher influence   the students’ motivation”. This study aims to figure out whether the role of teacher in creating an atmosphere of lear...
