3 ways to Speak English by Jamila Lyiscott

image : google

In this video Jamila announced to others that she is “articulate”. She is able to speak fluently at home with her father and her mother, at school with her professor, and with her boy and friends in the classroom. She has decided to treat all three of her languages as equal, because she is articulate.

The audiences raised a big laugh when she pointed out’ “You may think it is ignorant to speak broken English, but even articulate Americans sound foolish to the British.” One time when her professor comes and says “Hello”, she stoped him and say “Noooo... You’re being inarticulate... the proper way is to say “what’s good”.

Jamila also said that the language has rules, because when her mom talk to her in incorrect grammar, she said to her mommy that the sentence is not following the law.

She is a tri-lingual orator, she consistent with her language now. Sometimes she fight back two tongues while she used the other one in the classroom. when she mistakenly mixed them up she felt crazy like cooking in the bathroom.

She put “tri-lingual” on her last job application because this is not promotion of ignorance, but a linguistic celebration. She can help to diversify the consumer market, because she is “articulate”.
