Txting is killing language. JK!!!

John argues that texting is a miraculous thing, texting is not writing at all. Basically, if people think about langauge, it has existed for may be 150.000 years, at least 80.000 years, it arose as is speech. Writing is something that came along much later.  According to traditional estimates, if humanity had existed for 24 hours, then writing only came along at about 11.07 p.m. Speech came first before writing. Writing has certain advantages, it’s a conscious process. When people write, they can look backward and can do things with language that are much less likely if they’re just talking. Speech is much looser.
Texting is very loose in its structure. Capital letters or punctuation is not paid attention by people. But it structure is not important when people speak. So texting is fingered speech. People can write the way they speak/talk. He believes that phones can be that source to write like people speak. He uses ‘texting slank’ such as “LOL” generally think of as meaning “ laughing out loud” and “slash (/)”, to show that texting is more of a fingered speech. He elaborates on that by saying how texting can even show intelligence by balancing it with formal speaking in person. John concludes in his speech by describing the phenomenon as a linguistic miracle.

The Relation of Teachers’ Role in Creating Learning Environment and The Students’ Motivation in Learning (A survey at 5 th   Semester Students of English Deparment of UIN Ar-Raniry) A.     Background In the relation to the learning spirit of students, enthusiasm in learning is important in the teaching learning process, because learning with the passion will encourage students to learn better than learning without passion. A proliferation of research from Eschenmann (1991) and other scholars suggests that if teachers take the time to build relationships they can motivate their students to learn. Further research (Whitaker, 2004) also suggests that teachers need to have a strong belief that building relationships are important to the motivation process .
